A 100-word short story
“That'll cost you extra,” the hotel manager mumbles as I head to the luxury sauna. “The hot stones,” he adds, pointing to my tray.
“It didn’t before,” I snap.
He recedes, eyes drooping. Who’s going to stop me after all? They all knew about Josh’s little secret.
The fancy country club respected people’s privacy, but not their spouses’ hearts.
“Put it all in Josh’s tab since you know him so well,” I say.
I grab my towel and make a dramatic entrance into the hot room where my ex-husband Josh now often takes his mistress. For them, it’s complimentary.
